OAC Recommender Grants for Theatre CreatorsWe are pleased to announce that Canadian Stage is part of the Ontario Arts Council's 2019-2020 Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators program, and we are now accepting applications. We invite submissions to develop new creations which are multi-disciplinary in form or subject matter and/or are highly innovative in form, use of media, style or subject matter. Applications are accepted through the Ontario Arts Council's NOVA Online Grant Application System. Before applying, you must create or update your profile in Nova.
For recommender grants, Canadian Stage requires:
- CV of the main project leader(s)
- A one-page description of your project including what the grant will be used for
- A maximum of 5 pages of an excerpt of your script in development, if applicable, or a maximum of 5 pages of a detailed outline of the project if no script is available yet

Project SubmissionsCanadian Stage is one of the country's leading not-for-profit contemporary performing arts organizations. The company produces, presents, commissions, and collaborates with multiple partners on cross-disciplinary work with a focus on performance styles that integrate theatre, dance, film, visual arts and more. We share innovative and vibrant performance work from Canada and around the world.

Our Artistic Team reviews all submitted projects. We discuss these submissions on a monthly basis. Due to the high volume of submissions, please expect a 6-8 week wait time for responses. Please note: We will only be contacting projects that are of interest for further discussion.
